The French Revolution Day
The date for our French Revolution Day trip is Saturday 3rd July 2010.
The group will assemble at Eurotunnel Folkestone in time for the 07.20 am train to Calais arriving in Calais at 08.55 local time. The return train time will be the 20.20 hrs (8.20pm) train from Calais to Folkestone arriving back in Folkestone at 19.55 (7.55pm) local time.
Eurotunnel are usually pretty flexible, so if we arrive back at Calais a bit earlier, we can usually catch an earlier train.
The cost atm is £28 return - it may go down a bit or up a bit - it is up to you to book it. Please read the booking form carefully, and make sure you take the card you booked with on the day - you will need that at the checkin.
There is a thread on the forum for this, so please keep your eye on it!
We leave Calais via some nice riding through the French country roads heading for Agincourt. Here we stop for coffee and cakes and view the museum if you want to, and then on to Le Touquet for Lunch and the lovely sandy beach.
After a very enjoyable lunch we head for Cap Griz Nez for a beautiful early evening view out over the channel. Once all pictures and sightseeing is over we do a quick ride to Auchan’s for duty free shopping and then direct to the terminal for the train back home……..
What a Fantastic day out !!!!
